OUTRAGE! OUTRAGE!

Lots of people screaming about the president's comments over immigrants from "shithole" countries.

Truth is this entire debate is about using young as political pawns in a game to get more money and more "stuff".

Frankly, I don't have any respect for someone who would do that or the group of men providing cover for the president as he does it.

This is my first show from the new studio in LA, and I'd love to tell you it was a barn burner but there were a lot of moving pieces. All I can say is, the show is going to ROCK this year.

Finally, before I let you go I wanted to let you know that I will be the keynote speaker at the San Diego Libertarian Party Convention on January 27th. I'm going to put together a meetup for anyone who wants to attend.

Here are the details:

Until Tomorrow,

689: IMF Calls for a Cashless Society

We've talked about this before on the show, but it's been so long I thought it would be a good idea to revisit it today.

The government wants power and to have power they need control. They use central banks to control your money and if they get their way they will use those banks to prevent you from ever having the freedom to use that money without their knowledge.

A lot of people dismissed this as conspiracy theory, but like many of the conspiracies we've outlined on the show, this one isn't a theory at all. It's a fact.

But what would a cashless society mean to you, your money and your life? Would it really be all that bad? Tune in today to find out.

The Jason Stapleton Program - 683: Jason Unloads on the Bitcoin Fanatics

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

683: Jason Unloads on the Bitcoin Fanatics

"

I've got to talk about bitcoin. Over the last year or so I've been warning you that bitcoin was a massive disaster waiting to happen while at the same time promoting the idea of an independent currency that isn't susceptible to government and central bank monetary meddling.

For my honest and frank discussion of the risks involved and my warnings to novice traders and investors to proceed with caution, I have been excoriated by those who seek to promote the false narrative that the climb in bitcoin is natural and deserved.

Even yesterday I received a comment on Twitter from a listener who said the following:

"You say you disagree with inflation, quantitative easing, and fractional reserve banking. Yet you consistently mock Bitcoin. Bitcoin a free market currency outside the manipulation of banks and governments. Stop looking through the prism of a Forex trader. Ask why Bitcoin exist."

First, I don't mock bitcoin. I mock the mindless hordes who fall victim to the greed and euphoria that has plagued traders and investors for hundreds of years. The fact that this commenter can't see it or even respect the fact that I am cautious should give you some insight into just how far gone many apologists are.

Second, this listener isn't even correct. Bitcoin isn't outside the manipulation of banks and governments. It simply isn't susceptible to inflationary risks caused by central bank meddling.

Any industrialized country in the world could crush bitcoin tomorrow by taking any number of authoritarian actions. Think it can't happen? Just wait.

Most likely what they will do is regulate it out of existence. Whatever they decide to do with this new form of exchange one thing is the certain...no government is going to allow for an independent monetary system outside of their control.

Right now bitcoin is safe since it's not being used as a means of exchange as much as it is a savings mechanism.

That will end when the bottom falls out, and bitcoin has its apocalyptic moment.

I'll share some of my reasons behind why I think this will happen to bitcoin on the show today but you need to understand the risks you run when investing in cryptocurrencies. It is not a sure thing. Not by a long shot.

680: Trump, Jerusalem and a Private Spy Army

"

It's got all the makings of a great story, and I don't aim to disappoint today.

The big news today is about the president's decision to delay moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.

Well, that's not entirely true...

The truth is, Congress passed a bill in 1995 calling Jerusalem the capital city of Isreal and ordering the embassy be moved there. But the built-in delay prevision has allowed every president since Clinton to push off implementing the bill.

Now it's in front of Trump who stated in a campaign pledge that he would move the embassy. The problem is, world leaders are blowing up his phone like a jealous girlfriend trying to convince him not to do it.

The Intercept is reporting that the president it entertaining the idea of starting a private intelligence army similar to the CIA that would report directly to him.

The article is weak on evidence but the site several sources inside the intelligence community that claim a first-hand account of the proposal.

I want to discuss the possible pros and cons of a program like that and give you my thoughts.

Don't forget to share the show!

The Jason Stapleton Program - 679: Can You Charge the President With Obstruction of Justice?

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

679: Can You Charge the President With Obstruction of Justice?

"

It's an interesting legal question. The president is in charge of the Justice Department, and the FBI falls under that department. So, can the president be charged with obstructing justice when he has the authority to decide what will be investigated and what won't AND had the right to remove the heads of those departments for not following his instructions?

I'll let you listen to today's episode to find out my answer. :-)

CVS Pharmacy has announced a deal to buy Aetna for $69 billion dollars in a move that will likely bring better healthcare services, lower prices and reduced insurance costs to millions. So why would anyone be against a deal like this? One word...ignorance.

The theory is it creates an unfair advantage for CVS which will no doubt achieve its goal of better service at a lower price. This is bad thing apparently IF it happens to the detriment of competition.

I'll explain why they're wrong and I'm right on the show today.

Finally, more evidence China is heading toward the biggest real estate collapse the world has ever seen. Get ready to have your mind blown.

The Jason Stapleton Program - 678: What the Flynn Guilty Plea REALLY Means

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

678: What the Flynn Guilty Plea REALLY Means

"

I'm so sick the media not doing its job.

First, they spend most of their time covering news that doesn't matter like the mountain of sex scandals that make headlines every day.

I'm not saying you shouldn't cover that stuff; it's news for crying out loud. But we don't need wall to wall coverage and discussion of it.

Then when an important story like the Flynn Guilty Plea is announced the media chooses to sensationalize or outright distort the truth. The facts don't matter, just the soundbites.

I started my show in 2015 because I was tired of the narrative in America. I wanted to bring the truth back into view and stop the political pandering I heard on TV and talk radio.

Next year this show is going to hit a new level. I'm close to announcing what's to come and I appreciate every one of you who's remained a fan of the show while I was away shooting a TV show for History Channel.

Today I'll do my best to shed some light on the news and explain what the Flynn Plea really means.

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

677: Matt Lauer, Brexit and Cryptocurrencies

"

Kind of an odd mix today but I wanted to discuss the recent wave of sexual harassment claims being made by women across the nation. I have to say it makes me proud to see so many women stepping out under great risk to their reputations and calling their harassers to account.

Matt Lauer is the latest big shot to fall and the claims being leveled against him are hard to read. I can't imagine being a woman and having to put up with the kind of abuse these women suffered under Lauer.

Good news is, he's gone, and another bad apple has been exposed.

Brexit is also in the news today as Frankfurt as more than 20 new residential skyscrapers being planned and built ahead of the expected flood of bankers and business owners who will no doubt move back to the EU to avoid the new trade restrictions that will go into effect as the UK withdraws from membership.

Also in the stack, the IRS wins its lawsuit over Coinbase, and American children have a 57% chance of being obese as adults. It's crazy!

Talk soon,

The Jason Stapleton Program - 673: The AMA's, Taxes and Bitcoin

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

673: The AMA's, Taxes and Bitcoin

"

So I'm in California working on a deal that will allow the JSP to expand to the next level and become the kind of show we all want it to be and while visiting with my ad partners at Westwood One, I as offered a ticket to the American Music Awards.

Now, pop culture is not something I follow closely and pop music, not at all, but I thought, "How many times do you get the chance to attend a big event like the AMA's for free?"

So I went.

I had a really great time, and I was proud of the producers for keeping politics out of the event. I think everyone is getting a little tired of the overlap. I talk about politics all day, and I know when I put on the ball game or go to a concert the last thing I want to hear some celebrities opinion on current events.

It looks like the AMA's are tired of it too because the event was really focused on the music and celebrating some really talented artists.

But enough of that, let's talk about some politics.

I read an article from Forbes this morning talking about the GOP tax cuts, and I thought I'd use it as a teaching tool to point out the way Keynesians think about taxes and interest rates. I also think it's a great example of how little people actually understand about economics.

After that, I'll talk a little about bitcoin, and then we'll finish up with the mess in Baltimore. It turns out they've cordoned off sections of the city and are violating 4th amendment protections all in the name of protecting its citizens.

It's another example of government violating your constitutional protections and telling you its good for you. LOL
