The Jason Stapleton Program - 708: Bombshell Testimony Puts Clinton Foundation in Bribery Crosshairs

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

708: Bombshell Testimony Puts Clinton Foundation in Bribery Crosshairs

"

That is not a salacious headline with nothing to back it up. In fact, there is new testimony from a former CIA and FBI asset that claims millions were funneled to the Clinton Foundation by the Russians to facilitate the purchase of the nuclear company Uranium One.

It's an incredible story that shouldn't surprise you in the least especially if you've been following the many scandals to come out of the Clinton Foundation over the years.

Also, should the government force Tide to change the way it's detergent pods look? The answer is NO, but we'll discuss the ridiculous bill they've just submitted in New York.

Enjoy!

The Jason Stapleton Program - 706: The One Thing I Don't Want to be Right About

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

706: The One Thing I Don't Want to be Right About

"

As you know, I never miss a chance to tell you how right I am. I'm quite fond of the phrase "don't doubt me." But this is the one thing I wish I were wrong about.

The stock market took a big tumble yesterday, and Although it's rebounded nicely off yesterdays close, there is still a massive amount of risk in the markets today.

A lot of people including banks and bond traders will tell you they're happy to see the volatility back in the market and if you're one of those people then more power to you.

But if you're one of the millions of Americans who are staring down the barrel of another 10, 20, even 50% decline in equity prices along with rising interest rates, the world does not look so rosy.

Today we'll discuss a little about where I think the market is going and what I think you might do to protect yourself.

***
North Korea is apparently months away from having a missile that can hit the US mainland. Is that true? Who knows but it's important we pay attention to the players and the moves they're making. I'm far less concerned about a nuclear attack by North Korea and far more concerned about an international incident that will plunge us into yet another costly and potentially unwinnable war.

***
Are we hypocrites when it comes to riots? We might be. After the Superbowl many Egle's fans set to the streets, turning over cars and generally being bad folks.

Yet the media (and much of America) shrugged it off as harmless fun rather than the serious crime it was. You contrast that with how those same outlets covered the riots in Baltimore or the protests in Charlottesville and you see how we may have a problem.

I just found the subject interesting, and if we have time, we'll discuss today.

Enjoy the show and don't forget to tell a friend!

The Jason Stapleton Program - 705: Private Policing, Jay Powell, and Congressional Gridlock

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

705: Private Policing, Jay Powell, and Congressional Gridlock

"

Oh yeah, plenty to talk about today. Jay Powell was just sworn in as the new FED chair and boy did he have some nice things to say about the federal reserve. Apparently, the economy is healthy, and it's all because of the FED's tireless work.

***
We've talked about private policing before, but they're trying a version of it in the UK with great success. It turns out the private sector can do things better than the government can even when it comes to solving murders.

***
Finally, it looks like we're headed for another showdown over the budget. The US Treasury says we have enough money to pay our bills through the 28th of February. After that, we hit the debt ceiling and will have to start making cuts to keep things running.

This is why everyone hates politicians. They spend their days focused on things they've got no business dealing with and fail to do any of the work they're constitutionally mandated to do. SHAMEFUL!!

The Jason Stapleton Program - 704: FBI Memo Drops - Is it the Bombshell Everyone Expected?

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

704: FBI Memo Drops - Is it the Bombshell Everyone Expected?

"

Well, it depends on who you ask.

I'm going to walk through the highlights of the memo with you but what I found most interesting is the way the media framed the release of the memo before they knew what was in it.

I've got clips from both Sean Hannity and Joe Scarborough talking about what's in a memo they haven't yet seen. Both making wild predictions about what it says and what implications it will have politically for both parties.

The days of pandering are over. People are losing trust in the media and those in talk radio because none of them are giving you the truth. I will.

Enjoy your weekend,

The Jason Stapleton Program - 702: State of the Union Recap and the Cost of Growth Today

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

702: State of the Union Recap and the Cost of Growth Today

"

If you missed Trumps SOTU address last night, fear not. You missed nothing. In addition to being one of the longest states of the unions in history, the president said surprisingly little.

I would imagine most Americans lost interest after the first hour of Trump explaining all the great things he's done for the nation, but I'll throw out a couple of highlights today so that you don't feel left out.

I think these types of events are pointless. I wouldn't have watched it myself except for the fact that I know most of YOU didn't watch it and somebody needs to be keeping up with this stuff. :-)

The SOTU address is a sales pitch. It always is. This one was no different.

***
We've been talking about what's driving the growth in America these last few years, and as you know, it's largely built on a central bank debt-fueled heroin addiction.

Further evidence of this came from the Treasury Department who plans to issue close to a trillion dollars of new debt this year. Not surprising given the fact that Trumps tax cut came with an additional 1.4 trillion in new unfunded expenses. You can't get something for nothing.

***
Finally, I want to hit on something we discussed a bit yesterday, and it's an update on the Venezuela crisis. It turns out the military is starting to turn on Maduro. The Socialist utopia is coming to an end.

Enjoy!

The Jason Stapleton Program - 701: Too Many Wars - The New American Empire

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

701: Too Many Wars - The New American Empire

"

Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, Somolia....

These are but a few of the places we are currently fighting outright wars or proxy wars. There are dozens of other countries where we have troops, equipment or money flowing in and out to exert influence and determine outcomes.

America has truly achieved Empire status. Seeking to affect or outright control every decision or outcome in the world today.

Like all great empires, we stretch ourselves too thin, overtax our people, neglect the principles and ideas that made us great and take on debt at a rate far exceeding our ability to pay.

It's not too late. We are not too far gone, but if we want to avoid the future that lays before us we MUST return to those ideas that made us the greatest nation on earth.

Limited Government, Peace, Tolerance and Free Markets.

The Jason Stapleton Program - 700: Stockton Tests the Universal Basic Income

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

700: Stockton Tests the Universal Basic Income

"

The Universal basic income is a popular idea these days, and the truth is IF you could get rid of the entire welfare system and replace it with a UBI I'd probably get behind it. Not because I want a welfare state but simply because it would take power away from the state by dramatically reducing the size and control the government had over people's lives.

Stockton is testing the UBI on a few dozen of its citizens, but it's not going to get the result it wants because it's not running a true test.

Stockton plans to give a few dozen of its citizens $500, no strings attached. How is that a basic income? Nobody can live on $500 a month, in fact, 500 bucks aren't going to make any real difference in anyone's lives.

If you want a real test give them $2,000 and see what happens. Se how many people quit their minimum wage job and start living off the state.

See how many young people decided not to get that entry level job where they learn the skills that will serve them throughout their working lives.

See how many people lose their sense of self-worth as resign themselves to an unfulfilling life.

The UBI is not a good idea. Like most government programs it will not have the desired effect of providing security. It will, however, make more people dependent on the government for its basic needs and I think that is perhaps the ultimate goal.

The Jason Stapleton Program - 699: There's no Stopping the Automation Age

This is another podcast from one of the many podcasts that I like to listen to. This one is from the Jason Stapleton Program, definately worth a listen!

699: There's no Stopping the Automation Age

"

The Teamsters are trying to negotiate a deal with UPS on behalf of their drivers to ensure UPS doesn't use autonomous cars or delivery services as it moves to cut cost and increase efficiency.

I have no problem morally with unions, but this is one of the main reasons I don't like them. You see it doesn't matter if UPS starts using drones or driverless cars or not. If they don't FedEx will. If FedEx doesn't do it DHL will and if none of them do AMAZON will!

You can't escape progress and technological advancements. All you can do is make yourself less competitive.

If you're in an industry that's facing technological advancements that will put you out of a job you need to learn some new skills.

You could start by taking my trading and investing course. I've got a discount going right now that will save you 50%, but the offer ends soon.

Don't run from reality. Embrace it and learn to thrive in it!
